A standout achievement for Clover and Polyoak! The Clover Krush Fruit Snack Tub has received the prestigious “Gold Star for Africa” Award at the Gold Pack Awards 2026, alongside Silver in the Non-Perishable Food category.
Developed in partnership with Polyoak’s Dairypack Tubs division, the innovative packaging helped bring South Africa’s first ambient 100% fruit snack to market. The product offers consumers a convenient fruit snack that does not require refrigeration and contains no preservatives or colourants.
The four-pack of 100g tubs features a specialised packaging solution that helps lock in the flavour and natural goodness of the fruit, keeping it fresh and delicious without the need for preservatives. It helps keep the product fresh for up to four months at ambient temperatures. This makes Clover Krush convenient for everyday enjoyment, pantry storage and travel, while also supporting distribution into markets where refrigeration is not always readily available.
The product is already reaching consumers beyond South Africa with exports to Botswana, Namibia and Eswatini. Its ambient shelf life makes it well suited to these markets, helping maintain product quality without the need for refrigerated storage.
The “Star for Africa” Award is a special achievement, recognising an innovation with relevance across the continent. It also celebrates the collaboration between Clover and Polyoak’s Dairypack Tubs division in bringing a new product category into the African market.
