Dairypack Tubs partnered with Dairymaid Ice Cream to win a prestigious WorldStar Packaging Award 2017 from the World Packaging Organisation (WPO).
Dairypack Tubs was the only plastic packaging company from South Africa to win an award in this international packaging competition.
This Dairymaid Ice Cream tub is also a first for South Africa, with in-mould labelling (IML) across the entire surface area of the tub and lid, which has increased space for branding by up to 90% to maximise display impact.
The label on the mono-material polypropylene (PP) tub, extends all the way up to the top of the rim to enable seamless artwork, and clearly highlights the location of the convenient tamper-evident tab. The streamlined side profile and compact shape fits 25% more tubs per freezer, and is ideal for smaller, modern freezers. It stacks securely for stable transport and display.
Best of all, the advanced IML technology has enabled a pack weight reduction of nearly 10% to significantly reduce its carbon footprint and the tub is widely recycled in South Africa.
